An absolute screaming bargain! Tons of character for a wine at this price and, although it's made using 'natural' wine-making practices, it doesn't let the dogma get in the way of the fruit. We love a good 'natural' wine as much as the next man, but the important word in that sentence is 'good', while the word of secondary importance is 'natural'. It's a pure Garnacha, hand-harvested from low-yielding old vines grown at altitude in Calatayud. Aromas of sweet plum, purple flowers and raspberry tea come to the fore and the palate is juicy with notes of sweet red berries, cherry candy and hibiscus jelly. It's rich yet silky and no more than medium-bodied. 14.5% alc. Drink now-2019.

Press review:

Jancis Robinson MW (previous vintage): "Jazzy colourful typographical label. Organic. Very old-vine Garnacha on slate. Six months in old barrels. Deep purplish crimson. Round and sweet. Lots of fruit and vitality. Good Value." 16 points

Naturally fermented in stainless steel aged in large French oak puncheons (40% new) for 12 months with no additives only minimal sulphur at bottling.
