"The 2016 releases, are spectacular" - Jamie Goode

Classic Central Otago Pinot Noir! Broad, open, generous fruit packed with black raspberry, red-fleshed plum and sweet woody notes. It’s the scent that led the world to this region, on New Zealand’s South Island, thanks to its gloriously ripe and delicious interpretation of Pinot Noir. Yes, great Burgundy may be more nuanced, but for sheer hedonistic pleasure, Central Otago is the place to be. 27% whole bunch, balance whole berry, 12% new French oak.

Press reviews:

International Wine Competition
: "Serious, structured Pinot, cherry and strawberry notes with firm, fine tannins and intense fruit. Give it time!” 96 points, Gold Medal

Jamie Goode: “The 2016 releases, are spectacular. Lovely floral, expressive black cherry and raspberry fruit with nice freshness, combining good acidity with a bit of grippy tannin. Medium bodied and fresh, this has lovely drinkability, with some pepper and herb savoury notes adding interest. This is nicely expressive, combining some structure, some sweet fruit, and subtle hints of damson, rhubarb and lavender in the background. Beautifully constructed.” 94 points

The Wine Advocate: “A blend of five different clones, the 2016 Pinot Noir A2 is slightly lighter in weight than the A1, with a redder fruit profile and more floral notes. It's medium-bodied and silky in texture, more a drink-now proposition than something you'd want to bury in the cellar, but still darn tasty.” 92+ points
