"This is one of the most exciting projects in Spain at the moment." - The Wine Advocate

"Wow!" says my tasting note, "intensely subtle!" That's the sort of oxymoronic shorthand that I find myself writing when pressed for time at a tasting, in the hope that I'll be able to decipher it later when I have the chance to write a proper tasting note. I've always maintained that truly great wines are paradoxical, combining seemingly conflicting properties and this one does exactly that. Light yet powerful, delicate yet concentrated, you get the gist. It's a tremendous expression of Garnacha, aged for a year in used 500- and 700-litre French oak barrels, from a vineyard that the winemaker simply describes as “a cliff". It sits at 1,100 metres above sea level in the Gredos Mountains and covers a mere two thirds of a hectare, which is why only 1,924 bottles were produced. 14.5% alc. Drink now-2024.

VERY LIMITED. FEWER THAN 6 BOTTLES LEFT.
