The Wine Advocate: "If the village was impressive, the one sourced from a specific plot was other worldly. The red single vineyard is the 2014 Táganan Parcela Margalagua, which like the 'village' red, is a multi-grape blend found in this ungrafted, centenary plot at 100 to 250 meters altitude; the soils are volcanic and rich in red limestone elements, and you can find a mélange of Negramoll, Listán Negro, Listán Gacho, Tintilla, Baboso (Alfrocheiro Preto), Vijariego (Sumoll), Malvasía Negra or Moscatel Negro among others. The whole clusters fermented with indigenous yeasts in open-top vats. Malolactic was spontaneous in barrique and small foudres. The wine matured in 500-liter oak foudres for 11 months. There is more depth and complexity than in the village red, a tantalizing mixture of peppers and stones, with an herbal touch, aromatic and changing in the glass. It shows great elegance and it's more insinuating. The palate has a silky texture, with great acidity and length. It ends with a strong stony sensation, marine, almost salty, terribly tasty. It's much more elegant than the village bottling. All of a sudden, it made me think of a Caíño from Rías Baixas. 1,200 bottles were filled in December 2015." 95 points
