Press reviews:

The Wine Advocate: “Earthy and savoury on the nose, Kusuda's 2016 Pinot Noir reveals scents of beetroot and sous-bois alongside hints of cherries and cranberries. On the palate, it shows the seamless combination of intensity and weightlessness that is the hallmark of Kusuda's wines, with supple tannins that seem to almost disappear on the lingering finish. Delicate, perfumed and stylish, it's already delicious and should only improve for the next 5-6 years. Drink now-2030.” 93 points

Jancis Robinson MW (most recent review for the 2015 vintage):From Hiro’s Martinus block, very densely planted. He leased this vineyard for the last 3 vintages but now owns it. The former owner used herbicide – winter 2014 was the last application. Some plants shut down in wind and weeds, hence a low crop. Quantity-wise a disaster. 91% destemmed, matured in 29% new French oak for 15 months. 2135 bottles produced.  Lifted and juicy. Confident. Shows the way for the future. Drink 2022-2034.” 18 points
