No one likes a smart Alec, but that's probably because Alec gets all the best wines. You see, in a great vintage like 2013, the gap in quality between Barolo and Langhe Rosso (also made from the Nebbiolo grape, also from the same soil, also from the same vintage) narrows. I hope you had fun waiting for that verb. It's like being German.

G.D. Vajra's Langhe Rosso 2013 is a little cracker - a baby Barolo for sure. The only problem is that a bloke called Alec turned up just after it was released and bought most of it. We only have a few bottles left.

Jancis Robinson (Walter Speller): "Youthful mid ruby. Lovely Nebbiolo fruit with a touch of oatmeal. Lovely depth and length with fine, clinging tannins. Very good introduction to Barolo and showing lots of promise for the 2013 Barolo vintage." 17 points
