“Phenomenal Languedoc Syrah” - Decanter, 97 points and Platinum Medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards

There is no holding this wine back. The aromas rush towards you like flood waters in a dry creek after a drought – a swirling, churning cascade of cassis, kirsch, and crushed blueberries with a magical lift of violets, woody spice, garrigue herbs, chocolate, truffle and a hint of iodine, all interplaying exquisitely to display the ethereal side of Syrah’s nature, its beating soul laid bare. All the beautiful aromas on the nose re-emerge on the opulent palate and amplify, enlivened by a blackcurrant and blood orange-infused acidity, marrying seamlessly with its velvet-like tannins to finish like a long and seductive caress. It is a beautifully mannered and toned Syrah – one of the most captivating and harmonious expressions of the grape we have ever tasted. And it’s infinitely drinkable. It’s also worth mentioning that it is a gorgeous-looking bottle and if you plonk it down at a dinner party table, it will certainly elicit some cooing noises from the assembled guests and that’s before they taste it! Just 2000 bottles produced. 14% alc. Drink now – 2025.

Decanter Magazine: “This, rightful, will cause many folks to swoon. Rich, dense, interesting and slightly evolved nose – lots of black fruit, some peppery spice and thyme/garrigue. Unashamedly rich and glossy, in the mouth, this nonetheless retains beautiful balance and complexity. Big, leathery, lush and exotic – phenomenal Languedoc Syrah!” 97 points
