If you love Bordeaux, but fancy a change of scenery, then you should try this Italian take on the classic 'Saint Emilion' blend of Merlot (60%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%), Cabernet Franc (20%) aged for 24 months in barrels. It shows attractive hints of autumnal leafiness as well as prune, blackcurrant and dried figs. We suggest serving it at 'cellar temperature', which seems to flatter the wine's personality.
