The comedian Bill Bailey was once asked how he came up with his jokes. He replied that he started by imagining laughter and then worked backwards. We suspect a similar principle may be at work here and the producer imagines the joy in someone’s face as they take their first sip and simply works backwards. It’s a seriously fine mouthful of Mourvedre, but don’t take our silly old word for it, here is what the often reserved, but incomparably knowledgeable Jancis Robinson MW had to say: “Wow – creamy and sweet and soft, with gorgeous fruit purity. American oak aged (preferred to French to give a sweeter element and preserve the fruit). Long and fine. Smooth and succulent texture. Lovely tension between the tannin and acid.” 14% alc.
