Press reviews:

Jancis Robinson NW:
"Intense, smooth, very flattering and really hedonistic. Great stuff! Polished. Very poised. Nicely splits the difference between burgundian sophistication and New Zealand fruitiness. 13.5% Drink 2017-2022" 17 points

The Wine Advocate: "Pale ruby in colour, the 2014 Marion's Pinot Noir has a nose of kirsch, cruched raspberries and mulberries with hints of anise, lavender, forest floor and black tea. Medium to full-bodied, it fills the palate with expressive earth and bramble berry inspired flavors, supported by fine-grained tannins and just enough freshness, finishing long." 92+ points

Raymond Chan: "Deepish ruby-red, a little lighter edged, youthful colour. The nose is redolent of soft red berry fruits with lifted red florals. This has an attractive purity, unfolding subtle notes of fresh herbs and savoury dried herbs and game from the deep core. The aromatics are very Wairarapa with the savouriness, but beautifully melded and harmonious in presentation. The mouthfeel is vibrant and alive with freshness and vitality, revealing cedary and spicy oak layers that intermix beautifully with the savoury fruit, game, earth and lifted florals. Very fine-grained structure and soft acidity support the flavours and carry the wine to a long and complete finish. This is a beautifully aromatic red-fruited Pinot Noir with layer of spicy oak yet to integrate. The structure is refined. The descriptor ‘feminine’ applies." 19/20 points
