As self-confessed Pinotphiles we take our annual search for the perfect Pinot Noir very seriously. Bottles of rejected Pinot litter our floor like the scrumpled up papers of a frustrated novelist, but as soon as we tasted this one, we knew we had found our inspiration. It has the magical, ethereal quality that keeps us addicts hooked and willing to do anything to get our next sip. Staete Landt use 12 different parcels of Pinot Noir to produce this singularly wonderful wine, with each component adding a different ingredient to the blend. Prepare to be mesmerised by aromas such as strawberry puree, redcurrant jelly, rosehip, cinnamon stick and rain-soaked hedgerow fruits. Stand by to be dazzled by a palate of jewel-bright red fruits, blood orange acidity and fine, silky tannins. Serve in a wide-bowled glass to allow maximum expression. 14% alc. Drink now-2018.
