Ghostly pale Pinot Noir that performs an amazing conjuring trick of looking like over-diluted blackcurrant squash, yet hits you with an aromatic upper cut that takes you completely by surprise. We thought that only Burgundy could do this, but the relatively cool climate and long-ripening season of Tasmania has coaxed beautiful, ethereal aromas and flavours out of this most truculent of grape varieties. Aged for 14 months in one-third new French oak barriques.

Press review:

The WIne Advocate: “Enchanting aromas of roses, tea, herbs and red berries mark the nose of Tolpuddle's rather light-hued 2016 Pinot Noir. Light to medium-bodied, it's delicate and silky on the palate, an exciting reflection of Tasmania's cool climate. With complex but fresh notes of strawberries, flowers and foliage, it will be fascinating to see how this evolves over the next 5-7 years.” 93 points
