"This is one of several Rully whites that really seems to have exploited the 2014 vintage. Bravo!" - The Wine Advocate, 91 points

It's not hard finding good Meursault or Chassagne-Montrachet for £40 a bottle, but any merchant selling such wines will find themselves in an overcrowded boat. Where we like to differentiate ourselves is in our endeavours to find wines from lesser appellations that give the same if not greater drinking pleasure than the big names. This Rully is exactly what we hope to find every time we lace up our boots in the morning. It's absolutely delicious and could hold its own in a line-up of top-flight white Burgundies. How do we know? Because it held its own in a line-up of top-flight white Burgundies. The aromas are keep you on the edge of your seat suggesting lime marmalade, nectarine, chalk dust, lemongrass and a hint of wild garlic flowers. The time spent in barrel (25% new oak) adds a little spice, but it's all about tension and freshness and an almost urgent need to have another sip. 13.5% alc. Drink now-2021.

Press review:

The Wine Advocate (Neal Martin):
"The 2014 Rully Blanc En Bas de Vauvry has a well defined bouquet with red apple and dried apricot aromas, a little spicier than other Rully 2014s that I have encountered (thus far!). The palate is well balanced and vibrant in the mouth with a fine line of acidity. There is good tension here, a fine line of mineralité and such freshness and salinity on the finish that you beg another sip. This is one of several Rully whites that really seems to have exploited the 2014 vintage. Bravo, Jean-Baptiste!" 91 points
