Although they only make tiny quantities, this should be on every wine-lover's bucket list. One of the great white wines of the world. A barrel-fermented blend of such unlikely bedfellows as Roussanne, Marsanne, Chenin Blanc and Xarel-lo. It has a little of the struck match quality that you find in white Burgundy, a little of the apricot and honeysuckle that you find in the northern Rhone, a little of the richness of dry-farmed Swartland Chenin Blanc and a little of the citrus and camomile that points to high altitude Catalonian whites. Put that all together and it becomes more than the sum of those already delightful parts, a full-bodied and gloriously harmonious mouthful of sunshine and a wine that ages counter-intuitively well (2011 is the current release). A sumptuous wine that will live long in the memory. 13% alc. Drink now-2021.
