A really gorgeous blend of Nebbiolo (known locally as ‘Spanna’) and Barbera aged in large oak barrels and blended to make a rich, dark and utterly convincing Piemontese red, which will satisfy fans of Barbaresco and Barolo alike. It has that wonderful combination of fruit-saturated wood, black cherry, high-tones (shoe polish?), orange peel, cassis and flower petals, which gives a really authentic evocation of alto piemonte, as if it’s whispering “If you know, you know”. 14% alc.
