A sun-kissed, sweetly aromatic blend of Fiano, Moscatello Selvatico and Chardonnay that hypnotises you with shifting patterns of flavour. Shades of sun-ripened melon, apricot blossom, vanilla and a little exotica embrace your nose before your palate is awakened by lemon juice, tangerine peel, peaches and creamy orchard fruits. It spends a little time in French oak (fermented in barrel and matured on its lees for 4 months) to give it its round texture and add another dimension to the fruit. If you like the white wines of the Rhone, especially Viognier, this should appeal, although it’s as authentically Sicilian as overtaking a lorry full of peaches on hairpin bend. 13.5% alc.
