This is the inaugural vintage of this gorgeous red blend of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Counoise and Mourvedre. It’s basically a Chateauneuf-du-Pape, but made from younger vines, with less time in oak, for earlier drinking. It’s beautifully polished, with dark plum and liquorice notes, like a Clos des Papes dialled down from 10 to 8 in terms of bodyweight, intensity and alcohol. 14% alc. Drink now-2030.
