This wine flirts so openly, you’d be a fool to introduce it to your partner. It pours an almost inky deep purple and bats its aromatic eyelashes with blueberry, violets, cassis and peppery spice, while the palate seduces with wonderfully bright and juicy damson and blackcurrant pastille notes. It’s a vividly pure and eloquent expression of northern Rhone Syrah, sourced from vines around Cornas, which I absolutely love.
