“Tasted blind, you’d be forgiven for confusing this with Champagne. It is truly excellent.” - Decanter, 93 points
Cremant de Bourgogne is almost always referred to as a less expensive alternative to Champagne, which is fair enough, given the similarities in the way it is made, but give the kid a break, it doesn’t always have to play the plucky little brother role. We think this one is just as good as many a brut Champagne. It displays a pale silver colour with hints of burnished copper and aromas of shortbread, citrus and apple strudel. It’s made in the traditional method from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Aligoté. 12% alc. Drink now-2028.
