Terrific value for a Chenin Blanc of this quality. It’s wonderfully clean and vibrant, a sense of crystal cut citrus fruit, stony minerals, green apple and white pear, fleshed out with a little nectarine and the lightest drizzle of honey. The fruit used to be sourced entirely from the family’s Bot River vineyards, but they now use some fruit from Elgin. Grapes were gently pressed into a combination of concrete and steel vessels where the wine was fermented and matured for four months before bottling. 12.5% alc. Drink now-2030.
