Plenty of interest here for just £15.95. It’s not the grassy style of Semillon, as you might find in Bergerac or South Africa’s Constantia region, it’s more textured and concentrated, with grapefruit, tangy lime, gooseberry oil, mint and a twist of white pepper with Semillon’s slightly waxy texture holding the flavours together nicely. A quarter of the grapes were fermented in cement eggs with their skins, the remaining 75% fermented in stainless steel.
