This is a stubborn, intractable Garnacha Blanca, but I like it for its defiant refusal to bend to anyone else’s will. It’s all stones and earth and very little fruit, I mean there is fruit, but it’s not ‘fruity’, it’s more like preserved lemons and grapefruit peel rather than the pleasures of succulent ripe fruit. There’s some dry honey and walnut going on too, but try as you might, you aren’t going to find peaches and cream. 13.5% alc. Aged for 8 months in French oak. Drink now-2026.
